Minecraft Desert of Secrets Review

The Minecraft Desert of Secrets is a Store Community World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by Toya this pack provides a solid time with some beautifully designed areas and minor thrills to work through. I was very impressed with the scale and design of the level here. It captures that Ancient Egyptian look perfectly while highlighting a number of authentic areas from the time era. It is however on the simple side of things as you're merely attempting to grab diamonds.

You go from landmark to landmark finding a chest and leaving. They really could have gone crazy here having some puzzles or something further, yet went a tad simple. Not entirely complaining as it's an enjoyable level, yet I still imagined what more they could have done with this layout. There's some decent combat available as you battle unique creatures and they did a fantastic job on the custom mobs you come across while collecting the diamonds.

The Conclusion

This Desert of Secrets from Toya is an alright map, it has some clear goals and a well designed area to adventure. There were high levels of care taken in building the structures as you can go inside every single one we went by. The landmarks were gorgeous and it was just great to look at from almost any perspective. The work here is definitely appreciated whether you were on top of the Lighthouse or battling deep within a pyramid. An overall well developed level offering a fair bit of play time. I felt they could have taken things further by adding some deeper content, yet what's available is fine.
