Minecraft Stone Age Texture Pack Review

The Minecraft Stone Age Texture Pack by Polymaps brings us a series of textures that aim to completely revamp the look of the game. These textures alter the look of the creatures, plants and pieces of the environment. With this pack we get a design that looks rock-focused from its cave men villagers/iron golem to its rugged creatures.

It looks great if you're aiming to capture that look of ancient times well and even includes cave drawings as the paintings. It's well created and a decent texture set for all the items in the game. You can even see Wooly Mammoths in this pack which was cool and some other fun little tweaks. It doesn't alter the UI as I noticed another texture pack does, but all items are converted to this design.

The Conclusion

I found the Stone Age Texture Pack to be a fine addition to my collection of textures for the game and it provides a very rocky focused design. The cave drawings were a nice touch as were the Wooly Mammoths.

It's an overall fine pack that gives everything a fresh look while still making it mostly look familiar as to not be completely lost with certain designs when it's put on. It's nice to grab a club and head back to simpler Neanderthal times.
