Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Season Pass Doesn't Seem to be Available

Multiple extra Black Ops 4 game release options are present, they were added close to the launch of the game. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 season pass doesn't seem to be a thing this time around. According to the Xbox Store it looks as though just the base version of the game is available for pre-order. This is in comparison to past releases that always have multiple tier options for purchasing right away. It does mention on the page however that this is just a "Standard Edition" which could mean additional options may come in the future. The package includes private beta access, 1,100 Call of Duty Points and Digital Edition Bonus Items.

It's just rather odd that the single game version is available so they may not be doing a traditional season pass with this release in the series. This is a big change-up for the franchise as Black Ops 4 will not feature a single player campaign offering instead a futuristic multiplayer, battle royale for the first time and an expanded zombies experience. This could be temporary as it would seem odd a Call of Duty title wouldn't have some season pass offering, but within a year of changes this could be one of them. The game is set to launch on October 12, 2018 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC platforms with an optimized Battle.net PC option.
