DayZ Xbox One Confirmed for 2018, Playstation 4 Unsure

DayZ Xbox One confirmed for 2018 while the Playstation 4 version is currently not confirmed for the year. This comes from a Tweet the development team sent out in regards to an inquiry about the release of the game on consoles. That verbatim quote can be found below along with a link to the thread, but here are the general details. The game is set to be available on Xbox Game Preview signaling another win for the in-progress model that's available on the Xbox platforms. It will come at some point in 2018 with the Tweet being sent on February 4, 2018. There are no comments on whether DayZ will be Xbox One X enhanced currently.

They also mentioned they're unsure about the Playstation 4 version in regards to when it will release, it'll be there too eventually but they just don't know yet. DayZ is the hugely popular survival zombie game that has been on Steam Early Access for many years, console versions were announced a long time ago though nothing has really happened until recently this year when they announced the game is set to hit consoles. This could possibly be another big survival title to reach the platforms after PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and Ark: Survival Evolved.

The quote follows in response to asking about if it was true if the game was headed to Xbox One/Playstation 4:
"Yes! Coming to Xbox Game Preview at some point this year, we’re not sure about PS4 yet, but we’ll release there too, eventually - just don’t know when yet."
