Gears of War 4 Griffin Character Unlock

After a lot of fan demand and many teases, the Gears of War 4 Griffin character unlock is now available. At first this is a special event though like with other past limited time offerings I would expect this to return later down the line. Whatever the case, the loud mouth COG hating man is back, and you'll have to unlock him. This is a free unlock, not from a loot crate and you'll just have to prove you're badass enough to earn him. Starting right away until April 30, 2018 the character can be unlocked by completing the following. Beginning on April 20th, a new timed achievement (Xbox Challenges) will be available in Gears of War 4 called the 'Aaron Griffin Challenge'. Between this period of time you'll need to earn 750 kills any way you see fit in the following modes.

Public Versus (includes Co-Op vs Bots)
Public or Private Horde

This is a culmative total and not just per mode type so it's up to you how you achieve this total. Check the Challenge under Gears of War 4's achievements to see progress tracked in real time.

Once completed the Challenge will unlock like a regular Achievement that's permanently visible on your Xbox Live Profile. Challenges are worth 0 gamerscore and do not contribute to the overall Achievement completion of the game in case you were wondering about that. They were more common when the Xbox One launched and have since faded away. Once you've hit this mighty goal head to the redeem site which is linked below and claim the character. It should be something that's available instantly though it's noted that it may take up to six hours to be available. Then you can enjoy griffin once more in Gears of War.
