Destiny 2 is now partly free to play on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC platforms. This starts on October 1, 2019 and can be downloaded from the stores. With this release, you’ll be able to have a starting power level of 750 while being able to reach max power. There will also be free seasonal ranks and rewards available.
You can free roam to any destination, and enjoy all year one exotic weapons or armor. The following campaigns and content are also available; The Red War, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Black Armory Forges, Gambit Prime, The Menagerie, Year 1 Nigthfall Strikes, Gambit and private matches. Jump into the Crucible (PVP), Strikes (PVE), Raids (Coop) or various in-game events that happen through the years.
Other details to keep in mind are that The Reckoning is included. The Hunderlord, Arbalest, Outbreak Perfected and Bad Juju are the year two exotics available in New Light. Rewards from the activities above are included with New Light except associated exotics. The Forsaken subclasses are not available in New Light.
Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions will have to be purchased to access that particular content. The install size for Destiny 2’s free to play release is 96.43 GB being published directly by Bungie. Get in there Guardians and enjoy what’s essentially the entire game for no cost which is great. It’s also Xbox One X enhanced with a 4k resolution and HDR support.
