Minecraft Dr Splice's Lab Escape Review

The Minecraft Dr Splice's Lab Escape is a Store Community World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by 57Digital this pack provides a focused adventure map where players attempt to escape. The package provides a solid half hour adventure where you can work alone or together to battle through a facility. There's been some sort of crazy accident causing creatures to show up and with the help of a friendly villager you'll need to get through it. It's a linear experience that's topped off with an intense arena battle and it works. The narrative was alright and I liked the use of certain thoughts being given to various players within the game. I also liked the use of checkpoints to gather stray players and that it was very good at keeping the team moving along. The environments were interesting keeping a crisp clean lab look while having some different areas coming into play during progression.

The Conclusion

This Dr Splice's Lab Escape from 57Digital is a fine mission if you're looking for a map with a story to it. There's a decent battle arena at the end and a fine story throughout. You also get the option to play the battle arena after completion if you'd like to experience it again. The world is quite linear, but it works well and keeps everyone on track. I liked some of the fancier features for keeping a group together and the custom audio lines were appreciated. It's got some fine enemies to tackle throughout and the end boss fight brought some challenge. It was also rather creative with multiple waves that kept changing up how your tactics would come into play. This is a fine narrative driven level for those that want something more story based from their extra maps.
