Dead Space 2: Severed Now Free on Xbox

It would seem that more digital content from Xbox 360 is becoming free, at least this might be for a limited time. The Dead Space 2: Severed DLC pack is now free to grab. This isn't an EA Access offering and anyone can take advantage of collecting the license at no cost to enjoy the content. This package used to carry a cost and it still does on Playstation 3 whereas on the Xbox 360 store it has no associated pricing being free. This precedes the game becoming a "Games with Gold" title on Xbox in the latter half of April 2018. If you're unaware, the game is Xbox Backwards Compatible meaning the content can be played on Xbox One consoles as well as the native release on Xbox 360 if you're still on that platform.

As mentioned previously, be sure to grab the DLC while it's free as this may, or may not be a permanent thing. For context, Dead Space 2: Severed is a story expansion that takes place three years after the events of Dead Space: Extraction. It follows Gabe Weller on patrol at the Titan Mines where an outbreak happens and everything falls apart. Gabe's story runs parallel to Isaac Clarke's experiences during the core game. The pack adds eight new Achievements for 250 Gamerscore. It's a decent extra part of the game and it's worth checking out if you missed it or will be revisiting/experiencing the game for the first time as a Games with Gold title. The core game is also available through EA Access right now if you subscribe to that service.
