With so many titles being available on the subscription service, it can be hard to find something to play. Here are ten Xbox Game Pass January 2020 games suggestions to check out. These should all be available to play right away, or close to.

Hopefully there’s a good variety of games, and maybe you’ll find something new to check out that you might have overlooked or not have known it was on the service. This is a console focused listing, and it’s not in a ranked order.

#10: Untitled Goose Game

You get to become a goose, do goose things and venture around in this physics based adventure about knocking off checklists. Do this however you like, as you become one with the goose and honk around.

#9: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

One of the best RPG titles ever released, The Witcher 3 is a must play experience that can be enjoyed by veterans of the series or easily be newcomers as well. With the Netflix Witcher show doing so well, it’s a great time to get involved with this legendary title.

#8: eFootball PES 2020

The latest entry in this soccer/football simulation features many modes, ways to play and captures the sport authentically. There are many well known athletes, from a number of unique teams across the globe and of course a pile of arenas.

#7: Totally Accurate Battle Simulator

Create epic battles with real or fantasy troops, watch them battle or jump into the action for yourself. There are many things to send out for combat, and you can create many scenarios across a number of unique battlefields. It’s in Xbox Game Preview currently.

#6: Halo Wars 2

A very well done console RTS, control the iconic troops from the Halo franchise in a directly canon campaign experience told with gorgeous Blur cinematics. There’s tons of content in this. Battle in skirmishes with multiple teams, or take the battle online through a number of modes.

#5: Overcooked 2

A perfect family title, cook together or by yourself if needed in this super high pressure cooking game. Prepare the food, deliver it and then clean up afterwards to keep doing it. There are fun fantasy settings, a campaign or even multiplayer options.

#4: World War Z

An excellent cooperative zombie title plays like Left 4 Dead with a slightly different setup. Fight massive waves or zombies that pile upon one another as you try to survive through campaign. You can also battle online as well, with zombies being thrown into the mix.

#3: Gears 5

This epic latest entry in the Gears of War franchise follows Kait as she deals with her past across larger open world environments. There are cooperative environments such as Escape where you run together, or Horde where you create defenses to fight against waves. On top of that there’s an expansive multiplayer setup that continues to get built upon.

#2: The Escapists 2

Work to escape from a variety of jails, there are cooperative and competitive options as well. While in jail you can work jobs, craft and try to be creative as you escape from so many unique situations.

#1: Dead Island: Definitive Edition

I actually quite enjoyed this game back in the day, it wasn’t what folks expected but was still a fun cooperative zombie narrative driven RPG. Work together to survive this infection in a beautiful area that looks gorgeous with its visual upgrade. It’s a worthy time, achievements are uneven though so keep that in mind.

That’s the list for January 2020, hopefully you found some interesting games. We have a review for one of them below, or you can check out the general platform hub for additional coverage.
