You’ve probably played a ton of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch at this point, and are likely looking for something new to do in the game. I’ve tried to compile a list of different types of activities that one might be interested in pursuing once they’ve felt as though they have done everything else within the game. There’s a lot to do, and while you might have gotten into a slump I hope this will assist with getting out of it. Good luck out there, enjoy your fun tropical vacation.

-Go diving, with the summer 2020 update you can now dive for creatures in the sea. Those creatures can also be donated at the museum, or a special type of item might be helpful to an Otter friend.

-Talk to people, they have things going on and might give you new quests or goals to reach towards.

-Travel to other islands, if you have the option either use tickets to gather resources or even try to meet others online. You can get some neat ideas for crafting, world layouts or even ideas of what to do.

-Build something weird. You have a whole island to play around on, create something neat on it. Build a maze, setup a cool bar and just chill out. Make this a place you’d actually like to visit.

-Theme a room. Your house is filled with rooms once you fully pay off the area through Tom Nook. Once that’s done, make a special themed room. Create a film room, maybe a bathroom or even some chill game room.

-Fill the museum, that place needs donations to look cool and it’s basically up to you in order to do so.

-Terraform, after you get the house work done you can seriously change-up how your island looks. Go for a theme, or just make it look cool.

-Start Collecting. There are many things to buy in the store, and new things constantly. Try to gain access to every single item you can, they might come in handy for customizing your housing situation.

-Play the market. While you most certainly used turnips to get the money to do previous activities, if you haven’t this can be fun. Buy those turnips and bet it all to see if you win big or lose it all. Just be careful not to let them go bad! Play those stalks!

-Get a new neighbor. If you’re tired of the folk around the island, try to meet new ones and out some of the friendly folks you don’t like out.

-Grow a garden. There are a massive selection of options out there for making various flower designs or even accessing a wide range of topiary choices. Go wild, setup a cool area and have fun with it.

-Design some clothes. This game is stacked with options for custom clothing online, or in-game. You can take those designs further on some objects too which is really cool.

-Melody time. Create a unique custom tune that can be played within your area, if you’re really good you may even be able to gather a choir of characters to play some music as well.

-Synchronized swimming. If you’ve got friends on your island, try to coordinate a cool water based performance through the diving update, it’s really interesting to see.

Calendar Events. If you’re not sure what to do, see if there’s a holiday coming up or some monthly event to take part in. There’s usually always something new to check out throughout the year.

Well, I hope you found the options to be interesting. Maybe a thing or two that might be fun for you to do while on your island. There’s certainly a lot to this game, and it can be hard to come up with something wildly different than what you might have done.

I think that task is actually hard, since it does a good job of keeping things fresh while you’re playing it. I hope to expand this listing with future updates, and I’m always open to hearing about wacky other things that might be enticing for others.
