Side by Side Comparison Technical Notes
The generational difference continues to become more noticeable with this year’s release. We’ve got some campaign missions put side to side and while they retain the general design you can certainly see where cutbacks were made. This is in terms of atmospheric effects, texture loading and some geometry loading.
The high end Xbox Series X delivers a closer to 4k resolution whereas the Xbox One continues to struggle to hit 900p while having performance issues among other many technical problems. It’s actually somewhat painful to see the Xbox One in action at times in comparison, but it is trying its best to keep up as it had to for its entire lifespan compared to other platforms. The poor console just doesn’t seem to get any sort of rest. It’s almost sad at this point, but I suppose from a certain perspective it is amazing that it continues to deliver the latest releases.
Despite being blurry and lacking in some features, it does provide the whole experience. That being said, most of this content is recycled from games did run on the hardware prior so I suppose it should be expected that it would continue to work as well with these slight modifications to the concept. I do ponder how much longer the Xbox One will be able to keep having access to these games however, as the generation is roaring ahead.
Description/Synopsis
Captain Price and the rest of Task Force 141 continue their work to save the world. Some dude named Makarov who was a scary person in the original Modern Warfare series that you may not known of in this new series has been unleashed upon the world.
It’s somewhat a lightly touched upon concept about controlling information and the truth of today. The story takes Warzone maps and carves them out into open mission levels which were, questionable. The narrative continues from the previous entry in the franchise and aims to set up additional sequels as is the purpose of each rebooted release within the Modern Warfare series at this given time.
It’s rounded out with remade Modern Warfare 2 maps and a zombies mode where zombies are just thrown into Warzone. So, definitely a little bit of something for everyone out there if you want your yearly staple of the series being presented to enjoy. Time to answer the call again or whatever.
Hopefully the comparison was helpful in understanding the changes that are being presented between these options. It can help greatly to have a quick visual presentation that’s lined up for a faster viewing.
This side by side comparison should really provide all of the info you need to know when it comes to matching up these choices and giving you the quick facts to see why they’re being placed up against one another.
