Here are the specific details in regards to the improvements that have been made for the Control Xbox Series X upgrade. The first thing to note is that the last generation version does not benefit features wise, you need the Control Ultimate Edition to get Optimized upgrades.

It features no HDR support with a 1440p resolution that’s using temporal upscaling to a 4k resolution. This then has two visual options. The first is performance where you get 60fps, the second is visuals at 30fps with Ray Tracing support. It should smoothly hit these targets with the extra power that is present.

Those are the key details that are present. This game is Optimized on the platform, meaning it was specifically adjusted for the platform and instead received these upgrades through a different release. A video showcasing this is found below, alongside a photo representing the game.

Description/Synopsis
This story follows Jesse Faden as she searches for information on what happened to her brother. This leads you to exploring a strange government building where you’re thrust into the role of director and need to figure out how to battle back against these invading creatures.

You’ll use powerful abilities to do so as you explore stunning environments, and investigate powerful items. It features remarkable visual features in what’s one incredible psychological thriller from Remedy Entertainment. It’s paired with two DLC expansions that increase the scope of the overall experience in many new ways.

Hopefully you found these details helpful in regards to understanding how this game is running on the platform. Whether that’s in the boosted resolution (visual fidelity) that’s provided in the filtering, or just generally the extra performance that assists with the Control frame rate to keep it running smoothly.

Certainly great to see what these games can provide on the latest console platform that features full backwards compatible support and will see many new titles release over its lifespan. It should be exciting to see what’s to come for the consoles and how much gaming will change over this generation.

To summarize these were the details on if Control can run on Xbox Series X/S console platforms. You can read a review of a related title below, or check out a game hub for further coverage as well. Don’t forget to check out the video content to see the game in action.
