DayZ Laughing Fix

You might find yourself laughing in DayZ, and wondering how to fix it. It’s a weird situation to be in, and not a great one as the laughs may startle you and also let others know where you are. They are periodic in when they strike, and somewhat annoying to deal with.

Sadly, the only fix for laughing in DayZ is death. There’s no actual cure, aside from getting a new character. It’s best to stash your loot, find a way to respawn and then gather it again.

This disease is commonly referred to as Kuru in the game, and it can strike on PC, Xbox One or Playstation 4 platforms. It’s an incurable neurodegenerative disease. It is caused by consuming human types of meat, or after drinking water after one has produced said meat and not washing your hands prior. Even cooking will not fix this issue.

Your character will have shakes, twitches and general maniacal laughter. Best of luck managing it, and dealing with others after they hear how you sound. It’s not fun to get, and kind of a pain.
