Dead Rising 2 Review

"C-C-Combo Zombies "

Campaign

After being blamed for the outbreak in Fortune City you, Chuck Greene and your daughter must discover the cover up and clear your name. Working off of the 72 hour mode in like the first game.

You will have to survive while doing various tasks of main case, side survivors and giving your daughter Zombrex. Create tons of custom weapons by combining random items in the huge world. Kill, nay slay thousands of zombies while on your way. Hit the casinos or mix drinks for fun and PP.

Now another new thing is coop, it’s actually really fun but hard to use. I find the loading was horrible to get into a game and in game pausing kind of ruins it. Its hard to join a friends game even though there is a section for it. Anyways coop is a sick feature and its great to kill zombies with a friend.

Dead Rising 2 review

Gameplay

Much like the first in feeling this game has upgraded graphics, environment and the larger collection of weapons just available. Although I will say at times the game does seem quite slow in loading menus. In game the characters motions and weapons work more smoothly which I found was a nice touch. Using special executions has been fixed and had tons more available.

Multiplayer

This area for Dead Rising is a new thing both for the coop and actually online versus. The setup is the Terror is Reality show but with four random people over Xbox Live. Battle in tons of kinda stupid but awesome mini games which are hilarious. Basically it’s a bunch of different zombie munching games against 4 other opponents.

Dead Rising 2

The Conclusion

The game is great but is a bit bogged down by slow loading menus and awfully hard coop gaming. It is super fun once more to slay zombies with a companion in a awesome new story with tons more survivors. So hit the strip and make tons of custom weapons to teach them zombies a lesson in Fortune City.
