While not necessarily a true cross-over type of event like other games would do, the inclusion of Lara Croft in Fortnite is definitely impressive. You get to enjoy the full wealth of what I’d consider to be a Tomb Raider experience within the game.

Through the battle pass you’re aiming to earn various items that are representative of the character. You get her survivor look initially after a number of tiers, and eventually a more classic anniversary style too.

There’s a bonus twist on this outfit too if you earn it. This is all matched with signature weapons and items that are present as you continue to progress further. It really feels like a great pair up and she fits naturally within the style of play.

The character model definitely looks proper to what I’d expect, while being infused with that Fortnite aesthetic you’ve probably gotten very used to over the years. It was fun to work towards this sort of content, some of which you can check out within the video found on this article.

Outside of that, they also have been doing some special events surrounding the character. That includes a creative mansion tour that’s representative of her origin household which is filled with challenges to work through as a group. If that’s not enough, Playstation wise with Aloy they’ll have a unique mode on the platform to enjoy for a limited time.

They’ve got Lara’s signature pistols in the game too which was fun to see, and if you make a bit of a stretch seeing her with the fantastical bows is a solid integration as well. In general I was very happy with this character spotlight.

It’s nice to see such an iconic gaming character make their way into the game. We’ve definitely seen Tomb Raider pop into a number of properties over the years alongside unique titles of her own that try to mix things up.

It just generally makes sense to have her in Fortnite, battling the others that have been made available and it should be interesting to see what they do next when it comes to including IP within the free to play experience.

From some unlocking challenges, to neat weapons, it’s quite a great inclusion and just included mostly within the battle pass. That’s all the details I have to talk about for this one, it’s fun to have her available within my roster of ever growing characters.
