This is a technical analysis and breakdown of multiple options going up against one another. Here you can see the Forza Horizon 5 Xbox Series X comparison which will provide a direct visual showcase within the video. This is then filled out with the text based information detailed further down in this article.

This is to provide easier options for viewing, and context for when wanting to find out what exactly is going on between the various selections being shown upon the video. Mostly you get a visual display, and if you’d prefer to just read what’s present you can also see that in action which is a good mix of choices.

There’s not only a quick body of information text, but also a quick table area to provide fast details if you’re not wanting to dive deeply into the topic. With that, you can watch the video presentation right here, or head further back to find out more about what’s being displayed.

Side by Side Comparison Technical Notes
There are two visual options present within the game, a performance mode and a quality mode. Both are providing a 4k resolution target. The former targets 60fps hitting it smoothly, the latter aims for 30fps which is similarly running at its focused desire. Both have HDR support enabled. In quality mode you’ll notice an improvement within the technical details visually. Some of the particle effects, texturing quality of the world and so forth.

It also has ray tracing within the ForzaVista only within quality mode. I did observe less pop-in within the quality mode, but this aspect is handled respectably well for a cross-gen title early on in the new generation. It is Optimized for Xbox Series X, with these choices being present right from the start of the game.

Having the higher frame rate is fantastic for an open world racing game, my preferred graphic option for this one. Both look gorgeous, featuring a vast Mexico location to explore and drive within. Note that this comparison was made during an early preview of the game, some aspects might be subject to change. This is a month prior to launch so it’ll likely be quite similar to what’s present.
