Side by Side Comparison Technical Notes
This is a very straight forward comparison where the next generation Xbox Series consoles are practically running the game the exact same. Both are upgraded over the original Xbox 360 release through backwards compatibility due to the original release having an uncapped frame rate. That means you should be getting a rather smooth 60fps experience the entire time you are playing, no matter which of these two consoles you choose to go with.

There may be the odd performance hiccup here or there for the Xbox Series S since it doesn’t have quite as much of an overhead, but from what I’ve seen they both seem to be running the game quite flawlessly whether you’re driving about Liberty City or just going for a light jog. Now, some may have end game issues due to a higher frame rate that may occur in one specific section, so just keep that in mind.

There’s no Auto HDR for either of the platforms and in general the visuals are quite muddled. This game looks insanely blurry on either of the consoles which is somewhat disappointing but just how it works sometimes when running these older games. Visually they should be on about par, you may notice some slightly better or well sharper visuals due to some Xbox Series X effect but it’s basically the same from a viewing stand point. That 720p resolution doesn’t hold up the best in the modern era, that’s for sure. At least the fluidity is way better.

Description/Synopsis
Head out into the luxury landscape of America. It’s a fancy land full of opportunities and a number of issues that are retained from once you came. You’re paired up with a cousin that wants to go bowling and constantly blows up your phone.

That aside, it’s a landscape filled with opportunity and things to do. Play various games, venture out into the world and of course meet up with some of the local ladies. Do things your way as you work through a lengthy story meeting very intense personalities along the way as everyone always wants your help with something.

It won’t always be an easy journey, but it should likely be a funny one, a tale with long lasting moments that you remember far into the future of your gaming times. It’s nice that it continues to be something that players can enjoy, and now really see the full scope of when it comes to console gaming which is a pleasant surprise for sure. The multiplayer is still active at the time of testing.
