While Playstation appears to currently have some form of exclusivity on the character of Spider-Man in gaming, you can still play a solo game with the character on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S platforms. This is in the way of the game that released many years prior when Activision had the licensing rights to release games, having Beenox work on a number of titles during that period of time.

The likes of which included Edge of Time, Shattered Dimensions and then finally The Amazing Spider-Man games. The second of which is backwards compatible, but it must be the Xbox One version. The Xbox 360 versions of the game do not work, they do not work.

I have to repeat that, as many seem to not get that element. Past that, it’s hard to get this game as you can’t regularly purchase it anymore since it’s been delisted digitally. I’ll continue details wise below, see some gameplay of the title running below and it’s detailed there as well if you want the visual format.

So yes, the game has been digitally delisted. That means that if you didn’t buy it digitally before it was removed you won’t be able to play this game on the Xbox Series S. If you did buy it, just download it and get playing which is exciting. If you’re on the Xbox Series X you can play it digitally, or find someone online selling a physical copy which will allow you to enjoy the game.

It’s really that easy, and once again it’s specifically “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” game on Xbox One that works here, no other iteration or change-up. It’s a very limited and rare title to acquire so good luck finding one to enjoy. There shouldn’t be any issues playing it once you’ve got your hands on the copy.

Consider yourself lucky if you did have a digital or physical copy from prior as you’ll get to play the game or in the physical sense could make a bit of a profit on the resale. You can find more cool stuff from the various links below including a review of the console alongside the general hub for all things on the platform.
