Mortal Kombat 11: Nightwolf Review

Mortal Kombat 11’s Nightwolf is a rather interesting, and very unique addition to the roster. I had originally thought this would be an alright, or really just another addition type of DLC entry. I was pleasantly surprised that this character brings some damage with swift actions and with some neat abilities.

This special character not only has a great selection of varied moves from easy hits, to deep slicing tomahawk usage, but also can bring some supernatural spirit elements. There’s a sense of powerful magic here, which was granted by the Great Spirit.

This is apparently used to not only fight for Matoka’s future, but also to defend all of Earthrealm. This is a very dynamic character, and it’s neat to see a mix of regular body based movements with some spiritual assistance. The use of his axes are also just nasty, they dig deep and really have some cool moves to them. You can swing enemies over, slice or go in for some deeper lifts.

There’s just a great balance of what options you have for combat, he delivers a little bit of everything which is fantastic. Mix that in with some gruesome scenarios and this is one stellar character to play as. He really is fun to see in action, and definitely worthwhile to try if you’re looking for a new addition to your standard roster.

The Conclusion

Nightwolf is an excellent addition to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster delivering many unique combative moves while providing highly detailed impacts. The style, look and overall presentation for this character is truly well done. He moves smoothly, digs that tomahawk in deeply and can bring some intense throws into the mix.

If that’s not enough, the spirit animals will bring a punch that looks so cool. The combat is just slick here with this character, and it’s a treat to see in action. He’s got some smooth move options with many ways to battle back against any oncoming damage while bringing back a beating. I’m quite shocked, as I didn’t anticipate this character to be so enjoyable for play.
