Starfield Dream Home New Game Plus

If you’ve been playing Starfield using the Dream House trait perk you’re likely wondering about what happens to your magical dream house in new game plus. Well, everything resets and you have to pay off that mortgage all over again. It’s not an ideal situation and it really doesn’t quite make sense aside from a story perspective I suppose.

Seriously; I’ve included my livestream where I show it off but yeah, don’t get too attached to anything. I personally lost hours of customization to then have to start again from scratch. My succulent collection will never quite be the same, but I hope over time that I can once again build it back up to the glory it once was.

So to be very clear, your Starfield Dream House in New Game Plus resets completely with you literally having to pay off that mortgage once again. So if you’re going to be diving back into the universe for a second time it’s best to straight up not spend any time or credits working on it as it’ll just be a complete waste of your life.

It’s a weird sort of design since you might have spent hours placing items down or gathering supplies, but that’s how these things go sometimes. I hope this helps as it was a frustrating mechanic that I do wish I would have known about. The same scenario happens for outposts or any other type of item placement or creation.

Anyways, good luck out there gathering supplies and building the sort of place you want once you’ve settled into that alternate new game plus reality.
