Top 10 Fallout 4 Settlements Mods

Fallout 4 Settlements are basically my favorite part of the game since you can build all sorts of cool things and have a variety of background events happening. This includes things like the settlers trading, having stores and witnessing raids at your settlements. Across the many weeks of covering Fallout mods I thought it would be great to make a Top 10 Fallout 4 Settlements Mods list to help with those looking to spruce up or improve their settlements. Here are the top 10 listed in order of what I think are the best or perhaps the most useful mods.

#10: This is MY Bed

A very simple, yet incredibly helpful mod this one makes it so the settlers can't keep sleeping in your bed. You have no idea how many times I've come home after a long day adventuring to see some lazy settler laying down in my bed. That stops now.

#9: Quieter Settlements

The settlements can be really noisy at times with all the differing generators and such going on at once. This allows you to quiet them down for a more peaceful settlement.

#8: Craftable Grass - Bushes - Vines

Settlements are usually bland or filled with ugly dirt, it's time to spruce them up with some craftable greenery. That's right, this mod has grass, bushes and vines to add some green to your life.

#7: Settler Renaming

It can be hard to keep track of what people do in your settlements and this assists with organization by giving them a name from the pre-made list. While it isn't full customizable it still helps you know what jobs people have.

#6: Longer Power Lines

The standard power lines are much too small to function properly and generally annoying. That's all fixed with this mod that makes the power lines go much, much further.

#5: Robot Defence

The regular options for defending your settlements mostly just include turrets and that's boring. That's fixed with Robot Defence which adds a bunch of new more fun robot oriented defenses.

#4: Tree Farms - Harvestable Wood

This is great for two reasons, one being the harvesting of wood for your settlement and the second being a nice way to spruce up the very bland environments found within settlements.

#3: Buildable Farmland

Land for farming is really hard to come across in the settlements so this mod lets you create your own pockets of farmland so that you can grow crops almost anywhere.

#2: Working Food Planters

Food is one of those hard things to manage in the game since it takes usually flat land which is hard to come by within the settlement areas and this mod really help eliminate that problem. While it doesn't eliminate the need for food as that would be cheating it makes it much more compact.

This mod greatly improves the available settlements items by adding a very wide variety of new items from the game and basically creating many more options to create a unique settlement.
