With 2019 having wrapped up at this point, it's time to take a look at the biggest games of 2020 for Playstation. Or, at least the ones that look the most interesting and showcase this platform best. The games come from a variety of platforms and genres presenting what I feel are the most exciting game releases to look out for over the upcoming year.

These titles are also picked based on that they most likely will be releasing over the next year. The same was thought for the list last year and some of those were still held back. Delays do happen, but I feel that most of these are a lock. That's may be why some are included, I also like to pick some strange ones as it presents more variety. With that, here are the top 10 Most Anticipated Playstation Games of 2020.

#10: DOOM Eternal

The last DOOM was just straight up badass action so I can’t wait to go Eternal with a fresh setting and what seems to just be an expansion upon the epic gameplay of the first. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this, and maybe even demons, or at least the teeth of the chainsaw. It was neat to play at E3, liked the larger scale to the areas so I’m looking forward to what it provides. It’ll be smooth, and hopefully a great addition to the PS4.

#9: Predator: Hunting Grounds

I’m very optimistic about this one, I really enjoy these multiplayer games and if they pull it off this could provide countless hours of enjoyment. Using Predator, which is all about the hunt could really work for some exciting situations. I’ve seen the trailer, being somewhat sold though I still want to see how it’s all balanced. For now I’m excited, and hopefully it’ll sit up there with the other similar asymmetrical multiplayer games.

#8: Final Fantasy VII Remake

This might be higher for others, not a huge Final Fantasy fan so apologies for that. The same time, this has had so many release dates and I’m still not sure how much of the package is going to be here at the initial release. It looks great, and I know so many are excited for this. Will have to wait and see I suppose.

#7: LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

The entirety of Star Wars, all in one massive game. From what I saw at E3 they’re taking some bold steps with this entry and I can’t wait to see what this new style of gameplay provides. It seems like the developers are really passionate about this one, and so am I.

I played the first one when I was rather young and I believe every LEGO game that came after this so I’m straight up hyped about what this could provide. It will obviously fill a good family niche on the Playstation 4 this year.

#6: Dying Light 2

Another E3 title, or well one I’ve seen at two different E3 years and it’s looking good. This will present a massive open world to explore and traverse through with smooth ease. There are of course zombies present, you’ll need to slaughter those in the most gruesome of ways possible. The world also dynamically is shifted based on choices, and that massively changes how you can interact with this world. The scope will play well on the consoles, can’t wait to see what it delivers.

#5: Nioh 2

The first Nioh did surprisingly well, capturing the support of many. This next one leans into that, and we’re in an era of more hardcore titles so this should do even better now. It’ll build upon the foundations that made the first popular and I imagine many are looking forward to this one.

#4: Marvel’s Avengers

From what I’ve seen at E3 this could be a really fun game to play, it takes the Marvel heroes we love and throws them together in what appears to be a large scale experience. It’ll be very interesting to see what the end product is like, and how it grows post-launch as well. It’s very promising, but one that will have many expectations that follow it. I’m curious how it’ll perform on the current console, and how far it’ll push the visuals being a late gen release.

#3: Cyberpunk 2077

The follow-up to the Witcher, one of the defining games of the generation and perhaps one of the best of all time. The world of Cyberpunk looks awesome, I also am really into cyberpunk in general so that’s another bonus for me. They’ve crafted a very customizable game and from what I saw at E3 I’m excited to see if they can deliver. We certainly do know Keanu will be enough for us with this one. The world should look great on the console, and I am curious how insane the world detail will be for PS4.
Cyberpunk 2020

#2: The Last of Us Part II

From a pure Playtation 4 stand point, this is a massive release. There’s some mystery around it, but there are high expectations for it. I’m not sure what will happen with this one, I placed it high as I feel it will deliver. How different will it be? I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

#1: Ghost of Tsushima

This definitely looks really interesting, I haven’t looked into it too much but I’ve liked what I’ve seen of it thus far. The visuals are gorgeous, with an interesting aesthetic and the general setting looks really enticing. I placed this first as it has the most potential as a breakout original.

There’s something so alluring about a game that’s fresh and seems to be something that could end up as one of the biggest games of the year. That’s why I placed it first, the potential of a unique title standing out like this one has is fascinating. Hopefully it delivers.

Those are the top 10 Most Anticipated Playstation Games of 2020 featuring a wide range of titles, perhaps some surprises as well. Hopefully a good variety, showcasing something distinct you might want to watch out for in the coming year.
