The Warhammer Vermintide 2 - Shadows Over Bogenhafen brings two new levels to the overall game. These are basically just extras as the narrative really isn't progressed too far here. I wouldn't say it really added story content aside from just being areas to visit. The two sections are titled The Pit and The Blightreaper. The former is a slum type area featuring tight streets and murky spots. I found this one strangely confusing progression wise as some areas were weirdly set up.
The latter area was the better of the two featuring a deadly sewer segment that was pitch black and a large boardwalk type scenario later on. There were some neat animated segments to this as the area would get bombarded and I generally liked the look of the place. It didn't take very long to play through both of these levels and they didn't have anything too different to them. I was expecting something more, they just feel like additional places to explore from the regular narrative. It's still a ton of fun since the core game is so well done, but nothing too big is changed here.
The Warhammer Vermintide 2 - Shadows Over Bogenhafen brings two fresh levels to work through. It isn't a massive change-up, but if you like the cooperative core experience than this is fun new content to slash within. There was a neat defensive point in this one that I'll highlight and I really liked the sewer segment.
I was mostly just hoping for more content here, or perhaps longer levels. When it comes to the narrative this didn't do much so it felt pointless from a story perspective. Not a huge negative due to the type of game this is, but the general experience does actually have a cohesive plot.
