What Xbox Game Studios are Working on 2020

With the Xbox Series X on the horizon for 2020 I thought it might be interesting to dive into just what each of the Xbox Game Studios development teams are currently working. Some of this isn’t confirmed, but here are the best ideas as to why everyone is actually building across the very expansive roster of studios that are now working on the future of Xbox gaming.

There’s a varied selection, and their recent acquisitions over the years appear to finally be delivering on their projects. This will be broken down by development studio in an alphabetical order, to try and get all the first party or even current third party groups.
Halo Infinite Xbox Series X
First Party Offerings
"343 Industries" – Halo Infinite is the primary focus. A second team is reportedly working on another Halo universe title.

"Compulsion Games" – New IP, being developed on Unreal Engine 4 (Previous work included We Happy Few, Contrast).

"Double Fine" – Psychonauts 2, three teams noted.

"InXile Entertainment" – Wasteland 3 and an AAA RPG from two teams.

"Mojang Studios" – Minecraft, Minecraft Earth, Minecraft Dungeons and undisclosed fourth game as part of their rebranding effort. Four teams here.

"Ninja Theory" – Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Project Mara, Insight Project (non-profit) and undisclosed title. Four teams here.

"Obsidian Entertainment" – The Outer Worlds DLC and follow-up (likely), Grounded and a AAA RPG from three teams.

"Playground Games" – Forza Horizon 5 (very likely) and a RPG (likely Fable) from two teams.

"Rare" – Sea of Thieves content and Everwild from two teams.

"The Coalition" – Gears 6 and an undisclosed second game (rumored as Perfect Dark). Two teams here.

"The Initiative" – Undisclosed game from a very high talent pool.

"Turn10 Studios" - Forza Motorsport 8 (very likely) and assisting on Forza Horizon 5 (very likely) with two teams.

"Undead Labs" – Undisclosed game (likely State of Decay follow-up).

"World’s Edge" – Age of Empires franchise leadership.
