A Simple Favor is a strange film that follows one stay at home mother, Stephanie (Anna Kendrick) that is asked to look after her best friend's kid. The best friend then vanishes without any sort of trace. It largely follows Stephanie as she begins to grow as a person in the absence of her friend and then begins to investigate.
The movie really wasn't sure what it wanted to be with thriller moments, mystery and then perhaps some action too. It was rather dark and had some strange twists along the way. It felt a tad long at times, but was certainly something different than what you'd be used to.
