Avengers: Infinity War 4k Blu-Ray Review

This will definitely be one of the defining moments in cinematic history. It's the most successful cinematic universe and this particular release is the combination of ten years. A whole pile of movies and character collide in one epic battle as each key Avenger comes together to battle their greatest threat in a situation they can't possibly win. The film is split into multiple sections as various parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe work to deal with this problem. Thanos has finally arrived working swiftly to collect powerful stones that have been teased through the various previos films.

Watch as the largest team-ups ever happens for one action packed joy ride. There's deep emotional moments as characters you've come to love give everything in an attempt to stop a force they couldn't possibly fathom. It's one epic story that will provide laughs, lots of action and intense feelings of sorrow. This 4k release brings a beautiful resolution that truly captures the cinematic experience for home viewing. The power of Atmos really nails all audio elements and the HDR is a gorgeous touch to make each moment feel realistic.

Avengers: Infinity War 4k Special Features

The Avengers: Infinity War 4k Blu-Ray comes with a number of special features. These are available to view on the traditional Blu-Ray disc as opposed to the 4k one. They include the following selections that can be viewed as a bundle or individually. "Intro by Directors Joe and Anthony Russo"; "Strange Alchemy", "The Mad Titan", "Beyond the Battle: Wakanda" and "Beyond the battle: Titan".

The features cover basically all of the core moments giving context into their development and how they were able to compile this massive cast for various scenes. There's also a hilarious gag reel that's well worth checking out and some deleted scenes that give additional information for small areas of the film. Finally there's an audio commentary from the Russo brothers, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. I really enjoyed the gag reel and found the bonus content going over scenes to be a fascinating look at important moments of the film.

The Conclusion

The Avengers: Infinity War 4k Blu-Ray is one epic package bringing a beautiful visual element enhanced by HDR and powered with sound through Dolby Atmos. It's the ultimate combination of heroes that has been building for a decade and they've all come together with one common goal this time around. It's quite a task to balance this many characters and they've delivered with this title.

With this being a home release the offering is enhanced with some intriguing behind the scenes, a great gag reel and some deleted scenes that do help build the story further. This is an epic movie and a pinnacle of achievement in the super hero film space, I doubt any other franchise will be able to reach this sort of point in terms of building a cohesive universe. It looks great in 4k and this is the best way to enjoy the movie outside of a theater.
