Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection 4k Blu-Ray Review

I can’t begin to state the epic level of quality that’s present within this legendary 4-movie collection pack featuring 4k remasters of what are some of the most iconic films ever created. This Indiana Jones bundle is seriously impressive, having been approved by Steven Spielberg which is a nice extra stamp on what’s already seriously impressive.

The quality here is excellent in terms of the improved imagery and sound that’s present for the pristine high end theatrical like home experience that we have today. It’s just beautiful to see these come together in a modern format and in such nice packaging as well. Within this offering you get “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark”; “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” and finally “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull”.

The first three movies are probably some of the most well known movies we’ve ever seen released with high octane levels of adventure and also discovery. Headed by Harrison Ford as the title character in each of the releases alongside a rather well known cast of supporting characters. It’s hard to do these reviews since there’s so much to chat about but these are well loved films and they’ve earned that.

In Raiders of the Lost Ark you get an initial story about finding a hidden secret while there’s a battle against growing Nazi forces. Within the Temple of Doom Indiana has an earlier moment career wise finding a lost culture deep below and potentially losing his heart one might say. Then there’s the Last Crusade; my favorite of the package that finds the hero teamed up with his father, the legendary Sean Connery. Things do pick up again with the most recent release, the Crystal Skull which is different.

The Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection 4k Blu-Ray comes with a solid selection of extra content and behind the scenes look at each of the different films. There are individual 4k Blu-Ray discs for each of the films and an extra special features disc as well.

It also includes digital copies for each of the movies and a fold out map to enjoy as well. The packaging is very stylistic and on brand with the overall franchise. I would have liked better disc holders, they’re a sort of hard plastic that makes me worry about the longevity of taking the discs in and out. That aside, they’re firm and make sure it all fits in an aesthetically pleasing way.

I wanted to also dive deeper into the actual visual quality present here. For this new release the films are remastered from the 4k scans of the original negatives and they look fantastic. You really do get to enjoy a wider range of color and picture quality while still having that pristine film look that I feel really helps make these feel historical. That’s paired with high quality Dolby Audio that sounds fantastic and makes the iconic scores really pop with modern audio setups.

The Conclusion

The Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection 4k Blu-Ray package is a must have package for fans of the series providing stunning picture quality for the modern home experience. The movies really do look fantastic and I was blown away by the visual experience alongside the improved audio one. I don’t really have too many complaints here aside from a bit about the packaging rings and that some more extras could have been included here.

That really didn’t impact things much though, there are three seriously stunning films compiled here and an interesting fourth one that took things further later on. What a treat to enjoy, such an enjoyable adventure the whole way through enjoying these truly remarkable movies. I really do feel you’ll have a blast with these ones, whether you’re revisiting them or trying out the series for the first time.
