John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum 4k Blu-Ray Review

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum is a straight up action packed joy ride. If you’ve watched the previous chapters then you definitely know what to expect, and won’t be disappointed. They’re creative in the kills, and the style the legendary John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uses while on the run.

It’s a story about a desperate escape, as the greater world of assassins comes pouring down upon the best of them, that being Wick. The acting was excellent from Reeves, bringing intensity and brutality in every scene which was fantastic. You get to see some neat locations, a deeper look into the general universe and some epic moments throughout.

The choreography is excellent, the action scenes are creative and it’s great to see the fallout for the actions of the lead during the previous movie. The moments are impactful, and you’re always wondering where the journey of Wick will take us next. Also, a really interesting main villain in this one.

The John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum 4k Blu-Ray comes with a number of special features. These are available to view on either the 4k disc, or the traditional Blu-Ray. It’s great to see everything on a single 4k disc, it’s appreciated. They include the following selections that can be viewed as a bundle or individually. "Legacy of the high Table”, “Excommunicado”, “Saddle Up Wick”, “Dog Fu” and so much more.

There were just a ton of extra features stacked into this package. I was fascinated with the behind the scenes, and they give you everything. You get to see the training, how scenes were shot and details about the upcoming TV Show spin-off. There was a full feature about the inclusion of the horses, the creation of the various key assassin locations and even some trailers as bonuses.

You get to see a lot of Keanu discussing things, along with many of the big individuals behind this production. It was fascinating to learn about, and I’m glad they covered all of the core scenes and characters that were present within these extras. That aside, the 4k visuals were stunning to view throughout and the HDR made a big impact for the uniquely lit moments throughout.

The Conclusion

The John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum 4k Blu-Ray package is just stuffed with extra content, tons of behind the scenes and one exciting thrill ride with the core film. This is an exciting next chapter for this character, and if you’re a fan of what’s come before you’ll be more than pleased. They continue to be creative with the characters at play, the action and where they take Wick across the globe.

There’s an expansion upon the universe, and that’s mirrored with all of the bonus features that are available within this package for the movie. I was surprised by how much was included, and that they could actually be accessed on the 4k disc as that’s always appreciated.
