Mission: Impossible - Fallout 4k Blu-Ray Review

Mission: Impossible - Fallout is definitely the ultimate action film and somehow that experience gets better with these extra features. To start, this film is the combination of everything in the franchise. It's a focal point for past events as enemies return, plots thicken and many elements of the past get tied up. It's a great point to conclude, while being an excellent spot to continue forward. It brings high levels of action, surprises and rather insane stunts.

This entry follows Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his usual team as they deal with the aftermath of losing nuclear material. This sends them on a global adventure to do the impossible and take down a deadly new organization. Lines are crossed, sides are conflicted and this is one epic adventure. This was definitely one beautifully shot film and that really helped capture the full scale of every stunt. The scenes felt real, they had an impact and you could see the weight balanced with the physicality of each character. This really worked into the plot well and the action felt natural yet still insane.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout 4k Special Features

The Mission: Impossible - Fallout 4k Blu-Ray comes with a number of special features. Both discs have a commentary option. These are available to view on the traditional Blu-Ray disc as opposed to the 4k one. They include the following selections and more that can be viewed individually. "The Making of the Film"; "Deleted Scenes Montage", "Foot Chase Musical Breakdown" and "Storyboards".

The features cover far more than I had anticipated and it was certainly exciting to watch. I was really into seeing the whole process behind the crazy things Tom Cruise does for this series. It's one thing to see it in the actual movie, and another to get the behind the scenes clearly showing everything is real. The setup behind how they got to spots, or created the sets and just the pure amount of work included is stunning. It's amazing the lengths they went to for scenes and how they brought so many ground breaking techniques to this production.

The Conclusion

The Mission: Impossible - Fallout 4k Blu-Ray package brings an interesting selection of extra special features and one exciting film to enjoy. The extra content somehow makes this experience even better as you get to see the insanity behind the various stunts. The amount of prep work and ground breaking things they did are highlighted perfectly here.

It's really worth it to check out the extra features on this one as there are plenty of them and they're a fascinating look into the background of this movie. I also found it rather interesting how they handled deleted scenes, creating a montage yet at the same time the original audio would have been neat to see. This is just a great package for a perfect action film that delivers real stunts and an exciting journey that brings many twists along the way. This entry ties most past events up and it's the best chapter in the series.
