Pokémon Detective Pikachu 4k: Real or Fake?

Pokémon Detective Pikachu is real 4k shot at 35mm with a 4k master. The film also features HDR, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision providing brighter, deeper and more lifelike colors. This movie will take full advantage of your 4k TV and even look better when viewed at a lower resolution when using the 4k disc/digital copy. The release to home video was on August 6, 2019 with a run time of 104 minutes. The disc includes a selection of special features and bonus content including extra features about the creation of the world.

UHD Main Feature: 2160p Ultra High Definition 16x9 2:39:1 with Dolby Atmos and English 7.1 for sound. The Special Features are not in 4k and don't support HDR.

About the Film

Welcome to a world of Pokémon as Detective Pikachu aims to present an already established world. This particular story follows a young man that is dealing with the passing of his father, that is until he’s thrust into a deadly mystery.

This journey will send him throughout hidden facilities, wondrous landscapes that are filled with the well known creatures and of course some really intense Pika Pika moments. You’ll always be guessing at what happens next across this large scale fantasy world.
