The Avengers 4k: Real or Fake?

The Avengers is not real 4k shot at 35mm negative and 2k mastered. The film also features HDR, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision providing brighter, deeper and more lifelike colors. This movie will take full advantage of your 4k TV and even look better when viewed at a lower resolution when using the 4k disc/digital copy. The release to home video was on August 14, 2018 with a run time of 143 minutes. The disc includes a selection of special features and bonus content including various deleted scenes.

UHD Main Feature: 2160p Ultra High Definition 16x9 1:85:1 with Dolby Atmos and English 7.1 for sound. The Special Features are not in 4k and don't support HDR.

About the Film

This is the first ultimate team-up of super heroes as the mighty Marvel characters come together against a common threat. This was one iconic release taking multiple separate films and combining them for an epic battle. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow face off against Loki. Loki has come to Earth to gain the power of a cosmic item that will give way to a mighty army. It's up to the combined powers of the group to work together in order to tackle this problem and save the planet. This core starting point proved hero team-ups could work and were great, this was one special stepping stone for Marvel.
