What Do You Meme? NSFW Expansion Pack Review

This pack was the last part of the initial bundle I was sent to cover for What Do You Meme? This is a mature content warning labeled expansion that aims to add exactlly ninety adult caption cards for the game. This isn’t to be confused with new image pictures, this is a package that adds more statement cards.

These are cards you would throw into the core mix if you were looking to spruce up what could possibly be matched with the images. There’s a focus on more adult based phrases, so prepare for that. I wasn’t totally blown away by them in that regard. Many of the notes just seemed to be things that happen or really mild in nature. I was expecting something more out there, and that just wasn’t entirely the case.

I was also trying to think of them in the context of what the core package has for images, and I wasn’t sure if they could produce as many comical situations. We of course mixed them in, but I wanted to first sit through and inspect them prior so I would know what was there ahead of regular play.

Some of these are fairly solid, you’re not going to always have pure hits with that many cards. I was just expecting something more out of the box.

I felt some of the crazier cards were actually present within the base package’s NSFW (not safe for work) section. This is a decent pack for sure, I was however wanting to have something truly unique to add to the already enjoyable core selection that felt very different

The Conclusion

This What Do You Meme? NSFW Expansion Pack is fine, it adds more adult humor to the game with additional statements. Just don’t expect anything too insane, or thought provoking. They work decently well in regards to the context of the main package’s image card selection.

They can provide laughs, but at the same time I feel the need for a package of adult image cards to match in order to make these have more of a highlight. Some situations with base images just don’t match these at all. I honestly felt some of them were mild, with the core package having a slightly more savage offering.
