After working through a number of books within the Minecraft guide to series I've learned quite a bit more about the game. While the other books feature lots of depth about certain areas of content, none have been as exact material wise as this one. In the Guide to the Nether and The End you get all of the essentials details, with lots of depth. I was very impressed by this book as it's specific to the niche end game areas of Minecraft and it covers all of the details.
It seems to be entirely up to date and it has depth in regards to finding, as well as dealing with each of the sections. It even goes beyond simplistic details of traversal, showcasing ways to survive and build within the two most hostile areas of the game. It's a very specific guiding instruction for getting to either area, being successful within them and then getting out. There are a plethora of tips around survival, exploration and the types of mobs you'll face while moving around.
The book is cleanly presented with a white and blue color theme. You can tell its Minecraft based, but it comes across as more of a professional offering. The pages are precise, typically offering an image and then small written blurbs around them. There are highlight tips and other little facts placed throughout. It's generally presented in a simple, and streamlined formula. The information comes across as easy to understand, and exact.
It has a great layout and sense of flow as you learn to survive in either The End, or The Nether. There are extensive write-ups on the mobs you have to deal with, tips for some items that might be helpful and a straight forward guide to surviving in either area. The book is split into the two chapters and it goes into the exact details on both of them. I was surprised how well it flowed, and the matter in which it covered all elements of both segments.
The Minecraft: Guide to The Nether & The End book brings detailed instructions and a wealth of information about survival in both areas. It's very precise in providing all the necessary details you need to know about both sections, with lots of depth. I was impressed by this offering as while it's minimal in areas of the game, it provides all the details that are needed to be successful within them. It's got the whole presentation on getting into either place, what you'll need and many smaller tips that should assist in getting out of either area fine.
With the Nether you get information on preparation, getting down there, and then how to deal with the threats that occur. With The End it'll go over how to find the location, traverse the dangerous path to enter the portal and then the actual epic battle. It goes beyond that by giving details for the extra bonus combative segments and then exploring past the dragon since there are neat end structures to visit. I felt that this book covered all the essential and even non-necessary extra details about dealing with these aspects of the game.
