Artemis Fowl follows a young criminal prodigy as he hunts down a fairy in order to get some leverage towards the freedom of his father. Based on the novel series of the same name this movie is almost nothing like the literature that it claims to be trying to present within a new medium. This is a high fantasy series with realms of the real world featuring some various creatures, characters and moments. Aside from failing to capture the source material, it features frantic pacing and a generally incoherent plot.
