Ori and the Will of the Wisps features a number of creatures, and enemies to tackle as you’re playing. This is alongside the rather hardcore platforming challenges. Included within the various foes you’ll need to face are many large scale boss fights which include the Shriek end battle. Full details on how to deal with this creature can be found below.
Details & Highlights
This is the final foe you’ll face within the game. It is Shriek, the one that has been stalking you the entire way through. Keep your health option ready, and be prepared to dodge ground lasers as well as fast paced ground slams. These slams can at times send fire across the floor.
What you’re going to do is propel yourself up into the air and hit the head of the boss. Also use this ability when you see Shriek coming in for a sweeping ground attack. Take note that the enemy might also do a vocal attack creating a field around its head. Like with other bosses also send back any missiles that are sent at you. This could take awhile, but isn’t too difficult if you play it safe and keep healing.
Eventually a chase scene will happen, just keep hopping to propel yourself into the air at the end of every rock part that breaks. The next island is where things get really tough.
The previous attacks are continued here, along with some extra sweeps across the screen. On top of that, some airstrike type shots, and a volley of blasts that you should either send back or dodge entirely. Keep doing what you’ve been doing, eventually the ground in the middle will get broken. Keep on steady, after you see the left side getting broken apart just stand on the far right edge and wait. You won’t get hit there, eventually Shriek will break apart the right side too. Now, at this point it’s all air based.
You need to keep propelling yourself up while using the dropping crystals to burst. Try to keep on the right side as Shriek will occasionally float up, allowing you to drop mid-air and get two rounds of slashes in before need to escape back into bursting around. Keep in mind that the screen swipes from the enemy will continue. Be careful as those are hard to visually see, eventually you’ll get lucky and take it out to win. If you need a visual aid, the video below showcases the boss battle. It is available at 54:32 as a time stamp. I hope you found this helpful, good luck your journey in this sequel game.
