Minecraft Aquatic Life Fishing Review

The Minecraft Aquatic Life Fishing is a Store Community World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by Cyclone Designs this pack provides an open area environment for you to fish within. It’s actually a bit too open, and this aspect was underwhelming. I had anticipated a world creation that was more geared towards just straight up being able to fish and that’s only somewhat true here. There’s a nice tutorial setup, and a number of distinctly created items to fish with.

That being said, the world outside of the aquarium area is just a regularly generated spot. It’s just a tiny little river area and then an open ocean. There’s no craft outside of the lovely aquariums that they produced. Seriously, the facility is top notch, as are the items you can purchase in-map to use. You buy them with fish which is the currency, inside the facility are a number of things you can pick-up in chests by the way. That aside, it felt a bit disappointing as it’s just empty and it’s a full on survival world. You can’t just fish, there are creepers and even sea based zombies that attack you.

That was annoying, as I got this to just fish exotic mobs and those aggressive elements should have been removed. The actual critters in the water are awesome. You can catch them with a number of items such as cages for crustaceans. I loved that aspect, but then to get attacked by non-sea creatures was annoying. The models are generally fantastic for what they created, top notch work on anything they produced for this pack.

The Conclusion

This Aquatic Life Fishing from Cyclone Designs is a generally fine map, it presents some truly unique items while lazily opening the world up for exploration. I really did expect some more crafting work to the design of the water areas you visit.

That’s especially echoed by how perfectly crafted the aquarium areas are, and the beautiful fish models. They brought some neat items here, and a distinct concept. Hopefully they take the ideas here and polish them further as there’s a lot of potential with the concept and the execution just wasn’t entirely there. Still, a neat map and some fishing fun can be had within it.
