Minecraft Ender Golf: Mars Review

The Minecraft Ender Golf: Mars is a Store Community World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by House of How this pack provides a large scale environment for Ender Golf. It's somewhat like mini golf in terms of the concept, except you throw yourself by shooting the ender pearls. It makes sense and is actually rather interesting. The world is split into a few difficulties allowing players to test their skills out on a course that fits their abilities.

Each is different offering unique challenges and it was neat to play them all. I was blown away by the look of the world as it features a vibrant neon glow throughout. I'm not sure how they created the color selection, but it's wonderful. That aside, I did find that some of the layouts could have been a bit better. The fun of mini golf is to mostly know where you're shooting and often on any course setup I'd find it hard to know where I was headed. That basically made hole in ones almost impossible, it could have also used checkpoints as landing in the water would make you have to re-walk the entire course.

The Conclusion

This Ender Golf: Mars from House of How is a solid map, it presents an interesting concept that I'd like to see more of in the future. I thought the area they setup was spectacular, a truly neat collection of bizarre interactions. It's so neat, would be cool to see that used in some sort of laser tag type situation. Going back to the actual game, the ender golf idea works well. It can be fun and great for a group to work through. I think with some tweaks it could really be a streamlined game. I applaud the difficulty options, just wish it was easier to get an idea of where you were headed.
