Minecraft Infinity Skyblock Review

The Minecraft Infinity Skyblock is a Store Community World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by Jigarbov this pack provides two distinct ways to play. You can either jump into an open ended survival scenario, or work through a somewhat set story mode. The former is about continuous expansion with various sky islands, or well skyblocks popping up as you attempt to explore and thrive.

This is similar in the story area, but you have more of a focus. This is light in terms of having a narrative, with more of a loose goal as to what you’re trying to do. It’s good for somewhat teaching you what to do, aside from creating a cobblestone generator properly. That aside, the goal is to collect special blocks from shrines.

Some of these might be duplicates, which will grant a side block if this is the second time you’ve brought one back from the shrine. A bit cheeky, that aspect could have been explained further with say a sign as it wasn’t expected. Moving past that, it’s an interesting open ended goal and it gives you something to work towards. A sense of progression within the story setup. You can of course just hop into survival if you’d like to work through it freely which is a great option. Minecraft Infinity Skyblock Edition Review

The Conclusion

This Infinity Skyblock from Jigarbov is a greatly detailed map, it presents something unique to the store and offers what feels like unlimited aerial survival. You could spend countless hours playing this as the various floating platforms continuously appear as you explore further out. It’s really quite fascinating to check out a little section of blocks, to see more pop-up in the near distance. It gets even more impressive as you continue to venture out further, and then look back to see what you’ve done.

You can tackle this freely, with the options to have a focus which grants progression or just to do whatever you’d like to in the regular survive option. This is the best skyblock map I’ve played thus far, it provides lots of replay value and variation which is unmatched. I find the general concept around what this survival take provides to be somewhat lazy, but what’s presented here makes it interesting as it’s not set in stone.

I never know what will be visible in the near distance, or what might show up as I make my way to the next spot. There might be a turtle on a small grassy plain, or maybe a polar bear sitting in a farm. Below that could be great resources, or nothing at all. It’s fascinating tech wise as I didn’t anticipate seeing this sort of thing on the store, it’s creative and a lot of fun. It’s easy to forget how much time as passed as well, especially when you’re too busy focusing on trying not to fall off and seeing what’s out there in the close distance.
