With the Minecraft Bedrock 1.8 update they've tweaked Ocelots so you can no longer tame the creatures. This is due to the addition of their close relatives, the cats. Those creatures can now be tamed like Ocelots once were, the cats also gain a collar so they're more pet-like as with the dogs. This is to add distinction and more variety to the game's animals. The Ocelots can still be useful however as giving them Salmon or Cod will make them trust you and you'll gain their favor.
It's an interesting change-up for these Jungle Biome based critters as they longer serve quite as useful of a purpose in the game. They're still quite timid and scared, running about if you come close. It's really not worth dealing with them at this point aside from taking a look at them or walking away. The cats are in general, much better to collect and can be found more commonly, they have the same taming properties that the Ocelots once had prior.
Uses and Other Details:
The Ocelots can be found spawning on grass blocks within the previously mentioned Jungle Biomes. The creatures are known to attack chickens and baby turtles so be careful if you have the livestock close together. They're still very good at keeping the Creepers away to quite a far block length, which can be incredibly helpful.
