The Minecraft Tales of Jobutara Kingdoms Texture Pack by Pathway Studios brings us a series of textures that aim to completely revamp the look of the game. With this pack the world is altered to present a colorful RPG inspired environment. It’s interesting in that it feels gritty and more natural, while still having some color options that just pop.

This includes highlights such as purples in the trees, or how the grass smoothly transitions between areas. Other highlights include the neat use of ores, the natural looking food and the strange looking mobs that have been tweaked. This is entirely up to date at this point to the Bees update so even our buzzing friends look rather interesting. There’s also a sort of blue palette being used here, you might not notice that unless you zoom out.

That aspect definitely seems to shine through in particular biomes when this pack is used. The weapons are definitely a highlight here, as are the pieces of armor available. They did some interesting things with the items in this one, like with the tools I mentioned previously.

The Conclusion

This Minecraft Tales of Jobutara Kingdoms Texture Pack provides a great option for those that want something more fantasy-like that aims to provide a gritty and natural style. At the same time, it also pops with bits of color and unique tweaks to various smaller items within the game.

The blocks are also rather interesting, with completely changed looks that still feel regular in nature. An issue with some packs is that things are too different and I appreciated that I could still tell what things were, while being thoroughly impressed that they looked different as well.
