Minecraft The Oasis Review

The Minecraft The Oasis is a Store Community World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by Pathway Studios this pack provides an absolutely tiny little survival area to start from. I grabbed this one as it was on sale and I had just a small bit of coins left, it really wasn't worth it. This is a small area that's focused on providing an Oasis like survival section. It doesn't have any special quests, or any goals to speak of.

That aspect is fine however as this is showcased as a survival spawn point. What disappoints is the lack of care and structure within this area. You start with some llamas and then walk up a slight incline to this area. There's a tiny little water pond and some bumpy hills held together by small bridges. On the top of one of these is a small, very small shack. That's all, it wouldn't take long to recreate this and I didn't find it to be anything fancy or worthwhile.

The Conclusion

This The Oasis from Pathway Studios is a horrible map, it presents a miniscule custom area to use as a survival spawn. It's in the middle of a desert, I found the surrounding seed area more interesting than the created section to be honest. There are far better offerings for a survival space and I wasn't at all impressed by this.

It's a simple setup that really doesn't have anything going for it. I will give them credit for filling the inside of the hills, but that's about all they did here. There are also five skins, some of which are alright. I don't want to be too negative, but I really didn't feel there was much effort put into this. When I think of an Oasis, I imagine something more complex or even interesting.
