Avengers: Endgame Thanos, Does He Survive?

May 1, 2019 at 4:17am

With Avengers: Endgame being the end of the Infinity Saga and the wrap-up for the original crew. You may be wonder whether or not Thanos (big purple monster that destroyed the universe with a snap) survives the film. The answer to that, is that he doesn’t actually make it out alive. That’s right, the main villain of the entire universe run does eventually die. This happens twice in the movie. The first death is following him using the Infinity Gauntlet for a second time. He does this to destroy the stones so that the deed can’t be undone.

The remaining Avengers are angry, and Thor slices his head off and says he went for the head that time. The second death is at the end of the film, after an insane battle with all of the united Avengers groups. When he’s just about to win, he realizes that the stones have been stolen by Iron Man (Tony Stark). He then gets snapped out of existence, along with anyone else left in his army.
Avengers Endgame Thanos death
It should be noted that the first death is from the main timeline. The second death is his past version that gets pushed to the future by the past Nebula that infiltrated the group through stealth and disguise.

This part delivers a massive war and some rather insane moments. Thanos almost wins multiple times, but just doesn’t deliver. There are moments of near death here from Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel, but he knocks both of them back luckily through various means. He’s mostly lucky the Thanus move from Ant-Man doesn’t come into play. You can read our review of Endgame below or check out the Marvel Cinematic Universe hub for additional coverage.
