You know, at first it’s sort of cute. You come together, you find love and you settle into a flow. It’s only when things go on for awhile and you head to a quaint Niagara Falls motel that things start to get a little dark. The premise of this short film is rather interesting. I started pondering whether this was something that was just showing a supportive guy that was maybe a bit too supportive, as to say.
That perspective changed quickly. That’s how it is though, what starts out as fun and engaging can quickly become a dark situation and this paints that rather effectively. It feels grounded, while being downright hilarious and I loved seeing how the train wreck of a situation progressed. Seriously, at first it seemed fine and then the subtle became less so.
A little too much cling, or well that’s a somewhat of understatement one would say when witnessing these events. Anyways, the progression was handled well in this one and I really enjoyed what they put together here. It flows beautifully well and absolutely lands effectively with a firm yet hilarious message.

There’s a rather distinct art aesthetic being deployed here. It’s simple enough but captures the emotion and subtle details that help paint the scene.
The specific color palette was effective and the animation work splendid. I was really impressed by the deployed aesthetic here and seeing the two characters slowly burn each other out in different ways. The obsession on one end, the exhaustion on the other. Pair that with some soft music to carry it and the results are excellent.
I Don't Love You Anymore is a really effective short film that gets its point across in an engaging, fun and genuinely terrifying sort of way. I found it hilarious, and I completely understood the perspective of seeing this lady being just completely burnt out from an overt amount of affection.
I wasn’t initially sure what would be the point of discontent would be as there seemed to be some love there, maybe too much but still a fine amount. That viewpoint changed hilariously quickly and I loved seeing the build-up. The finale was also perfectly nailed with a great howl of a laugh from me. They absolutely delivered with this one, certainly worth a viewing.
