There are a pile of Marvel movies planned for 2021 in regards to theatrical releases, and a number of Marvel Disney+ series releasing to support them. Here’s the listing of the options that are available to either watch in the traditional theater, or to stream at home. Almost all of these will land on Disney+ after their theatrical run aside from Spider-Man unless a deal is made later on.
WandaVision (December 2020)
Might as well start at the end of the previous year, as WandaVision leads us into the new year. Get ready for one trippy and straight up weird experience that follows Wanda dealing with the loss of Vision in her own way. It’s rather dark, comedic and all over the place showcasing almost differing eras of a sitcom as she goes through a possible story of her life.
Loki (Early 2021)
This is all about what happens to Loki as he splits from the timeline after losing in the first Avengers movie. The timeline has obviously been messed up after Endgame and this will explore a more tricky, yet broken version of the character.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12)
This is set to be the real reveal of the actual Mandarin, an aspect teased within the Iron Man series in the past.
What If…? (Mid 2021)
This is an animated effort that will go into some strange possible scenarios if certain situations didn’t play out like they did in the movies. Should be a blast.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 7)
The first in the cinematic universe to be slightly horror oriented, this will explore a world far beyond what we’ve seen in the past. Magic, and far reaching elements will be hit as this sorcerer supreme tries to deal with them.
Spider-Man 3 (July 16)
The web slinger will return, having to deal with the end of his last venture and also battling to stay within the MCU.
Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5)
Thor is back, hitting the far reaches of the galaxy with Jane returning . Also, an even more important element is the wildly awesome Taika Waititi to direct and hopefully become a pile of rocks once more.
Hawkeye (Late 2021)
To train his replacement, Hawkeye comes back and assists this younger hero in taking over the mantle of being good at shooting arrows.
Other series might be moved up, or some may be delayed. This is the picture as it stands. You can read our review of Endgame below or check out the Marvel Cinematic Universe hub for additional coverage.
