Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies 2019

With 2018 wrapping up, it's time to take a look at the biggest upcoming movies 2019 or well the ones that look the most interesting. The films hopefully showcase a wide variety of movies with some surprises thrown in there.

A number of them are exciting sequels whereas some originals are present as well. I took care to not include some of the bigger ones that really don't seem that appealing at the current moment, but we'll probably view anyways. With that, here are the top 10 most anticipated movies of 2019.

#10: Jojo Rabbit

This is a dark comedy and potentially one of the strangest films of all time. It follows a young boy that has an imaginary friend, who is Hitler. Hitler is played by Taika Waititi, who also directs. He's great, so I'm all for whatever this turns out to be.

#9: Zombieland 2

It might have been too long of a gap, but we'll see when the movie comes out. The original had a ton of charm with one awesome core cast and this sequel has potential for sure. Many comedies come back years later with sequels that don't deliver, so consider this one an optimistic pick for the year.

#8: Glass

I'm really intrigued to see if this trilogy comes together in the wacky sort of perfect way I feel it's going to. This is such a strange combination of characters and it just works. You would have never expected this to actually be a trilogy and it's through bizarre connections that this could be one not to miss.
John Wick 2 Movie

#7: Happy Death Day 2U

At this point I pleasantly recall the original and this sequel seems to just double down on the concept. I thought the lead actress was great in the first one and I think she's going to nail it once again as the stakes get raised. It has some weird Back to the Future Part 2 vibes going on and I think it's going to work.

#6: Spider-Man: Far From Home

This has been a really great take on Spider-Man and hopefully Marvel can bring the magic once again. We're getting Mysterio for the first time on the big screen in all his classic style. If their use of villains from the first is any indication of quality we're in for one wonderful time. It'll also be a very different universe after Endgame.

#5: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

The first LEGO Movie was shockingly great with just a ton of heart, this sequel is building from that point. We get the Mad Max style of LEGO I never knew I craved and then a voyage to the land of strange LEGO. I have a good feeling about this as the past LEGO spin-offs films have been always solid.

Avengers Endgame Movie

#4: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino, and one amazing cast. Not sure I need much more to justify this anticipation. I mean, just look at who's involved with this.

#3: John Wick 3: Parabellum

John Wick is just one awesome, badass character and with the world against him this third film should be incredible. There's sure to be a dog, I imagine Wick will annihilate people and we'll get a deeper look at this mysterious action filled world of assassination. The character is great and this should be remarkable trilogy if everything comes together.

#2: Star Wars Episode IX

I thought The Last Jedi was a perfect Star Wars film, I stand by it. The hype, anticipation and frankly negativity around this film will certainly make it one spectacle of an event. There are many people to please and there's just one final film to close up the episodic franchise. It could go over well, or throw the series into chaos as fans clash in this last entry. Well, last before the spin-offs start piling up.

#1: Avengers: Endgame

The top choice should have been easy to see coming, this will be one of the biggest films of all time and of the next year. Infinity War left everyone in sorrow and it'll take the greatest heroes within the Marvel Cinematic Universe to put it right. This is the build of many movies and a villain that will be surprised at the will of the heroes that have lost it all. Should be one thrilling moment in cinema history.
