It can certainly be difficult to find something to watch on Netflix, here are five shows to view on the streaming service. Each of them should be something unique, and perhaps unexpected. A variety of content should be present, and hopefully you can find something special to watch for a bit. The series will vary in length, and what exactly is present within them.

These are in no particularly ranked order, and are just suggestions. Good luck out there streaming, may one of these shows provide a unique viewing experience whether you’re filling time or looking for a new favorite. Also, these are all first season series, or limited in nature.

#5: The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance

This is an absolutely crazy fantasy epic. It’s thrilling to take in, at a Game of Thrones level of presentation. What makes this even crazier is the fact that this is entirely done with puppets, wild. The voice cast is amazing here, and this definitely a must watch for fans of the genre. Also, if you liked the movie this is a great prequel to that.

#4: Dead to Me

The end of this first episode will shock, and totally suck you into this show. It has two great leads, and dances around an idea that the audience learns early on. It’s very well done, dramatic and somewhat funny as it develops. I can’t wait to see where this one goes, and I’m sure the flow around this mystery will be enticing to view.

#3: Turn Up Charlie

A washed up DJ becomes the nanny to a young girl of his now returned to the city famous old friend. That friend is married to a high class DJ and she connects with this nanny. There’s actually a lot of charm in this, great music and it can be quite funny as the child acts out against having such a strange nanny. Obviously some drama too as the famous friend doesn’t like his old pal connecting with his wife.

#2: Russian Doll

This one plays with the concept of time, following a lady that is stuck on one awful birthday of death. Things reset, there’s great acting from the lead and this is a very unique time. You’ll find there’s some heart, and discovery along the way as you also uncover what exactly might be causing this situation. It takes something we’ve seen a lot of recently, but brings some good twists.

#1: Love, Death & Robots

This is certainly one insane anthology series brings so many distinct looks into the future. The episodes are crazy, all of them carry a different art style and most of them are just fascinating to watch. The concepts are always fresh, and leave a mark for sure. You’ll be wondering what happened at times, or just blown away by the action. This is a quick watch to some degree, as the episodes vary length wise.

I do hope you find something worthwhile in this listing, they’re all different and of course Netflix original series that released in 2019. If you have other suggestions, feel free to let us know.
