The A Series of Unfortunate Events; which is a Netflix Original series, was shot at a premium format. If available with your streaming plan it provides an Ultra HD 4K resolution without support for HDR. There are currently three seasons which come together for a total of twenty-five episodes that have been captured at this quality.
The series has been wrapped up at this point. For context, the show is based on a series of novels focused on a literary style. It’s largely told through Lemony Snicket’s (Patrick Warburton) perspective as he follows a path of misery. This investigation takes him on the journey of the three Baudelaire orphans, a family that has lost everything
There are mysteries, action and it beautifully captures the essence of the book series. It’s an enjoyable exploration of the source material, and one that expands many concepts. While it’s one thing to read about events, there’s an extra layer in seeing certain background moments play out.
The episodes are always a surprise, featuring an excellent cast and a wide range of settings. It’s always something different as you see dangerous locations, perilous places and so many moments of action as the orphans take on their elusive and dangerous initial guardian Count Olaf. A vile man, one that has an ensemble of villains is out for the orphan’s fortune.
