This is a Netflix Original Series that provides a series of comedic sketches. They’re short in length, making this a rather easy binge. They’re aimed at providing laughs, and for the most part they’re generally decent. I didn’t find anything too hilariously ground breaking, but you’ll get some value out of viewing it.
For me, this really wasn’t my sort of thing again. I did find myself getting a laugh or two, but I’m not sure I’m quite the target audience as I hear so many that continue to love this series. That aside, I do think the wacky no holds comedy does actually provide something distinct. It seems like the actors involved always go the full mile and make sure not to hold back which makes this come across as a comedic outlier.
It’s also got a good sense of directional change as the different sketches shift into one another in what feels like a smooth sort of transition. This definitely feels on brand to what the first season of the show provided, and I think it continues it in an interesting way.
You once again get some special guest star appearances, and they use them effectively. It is however mostly focused around Tim Robinson and the absolutely ridiculous scenarios he’s put into. This includes an office where he can’t quite take it all in, or a suit where it’s just a bit too stuffed for him to handle.
They also do random callbacks to previous sketches, so if you’re watching this altogether you get some reward in that regard. I don’t really have any comments on how this is shot, it’s very straight forward in capturing the area but does feature some wacky and fun transitions between segments. It keeps the flow going, which is good for those that are finding this to be funny.
I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson Season 2 continues the wacky scenarios, being something you’re either really into or entirely not into. I fall more into the latter portion of that statement. I see the value in it for some as a lot of folks find this really funny.
I myself find some of the segments to be funny whereas the others are perhaps a bit too cringe or awkward for me to find funny. This is again a preference. It doesn’t hit the mark for me, I imagine it does for many as I do see the reactions online to the content. I got some laughs out of it, so I say it partially did its job of entertainment. It’s finely put together, and feels like an alright continuation of the first season. I guess I look forward to a third season at some point.
