Everything was changed at the end of the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 3. This is obviously an article that will have spoilers, you have definitely been warned. At the end of this season it’s revealed that time is being split apart by the very sword She-Ra/Adora uses for her powers. This was set in motion by Catra as she plunged the sword into an unstable portal.
This was mostly due to her spiraling into madness, as even Entrapta’s warnings weren’t enough. As the fabric of time unraveled around her, Adora attempted to stop everything breaking down. She ended up battling a time distorted Catra that does seem truly lost. By the end Adora realizes she must sacrifice herself in order to set things right.
This doesn’t however happen as Queen Angella swoops in as she had come to the conclusion she had been cowardly in the past. She instead sacrifices herself to restore things back to how they were. This leads to her death, and Adora then lets Glimmer know her mother has died right at the end.
That’s not however where things totally conclude. More of Hordak (he’s a clone apparently on their planet) shows up at the end. He’s commanding a massive armada, and finally finds out where the Hordak we know is. That’s basically how things wrap up. It seems like Angella is definitely dead, unless some portal type magic happens down the road. It also sets the stage for a larger scale war considering the showcase of this big fleet that could come into play.
It also seems like Catra is completely lost in terms of being against Adora. Glimmer will likely take the lead as Queen going forward as that’s logical. Entrapta is being sent to a beast island area, that’ll likely be a future rescue mission. That's all for now, at least in the third season.
