Marvel went crazy with announcements while at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. One of the expected reveals was Black Widow which arrives in theaters on May 1, 2020. This is the first entry in that specific character’s franchise and it’ll be a big change coming from the team-ups. The film will star Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widows), David Harbour (Alexei aka The Red Guardian).Florence Pugh (Yelena), O-T Fagbenle (Mason) and Rachel Weisz (Melina). The movie will be directed by Cate Shortland.

This is the first entry in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will bring in Taskmaster, and will feature some elements of flashbacks. You’ll get a glimpse of the character after Captain America: Civil War, feeling fresh after she betrayed Tony Stark. She’s aiming to wipe her ledger. It will fully explore her past as a character and how she picks up the pieces to become whole.
